Frequently Asked Questions

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a government-run programme that aims to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities by providing them with security, convenience, and the necessary assistance.

We offer three types of disability support that are covered by the NDIS:

1. Permanent/significant disability: This NDIS service addresses any significant disability that has a significant impact on the participant’s ability to perform daily activities.

2. Services and assistance: NDIS support services are responsible for providing materials of assistance or services to assist a person in leading a normal daily life. Community programmes to increase interactions with their local community, transportation assistance, NDIS accommodation, and so on are examples of these.

3. Early intervention entails providing assistance to a child or adult in the early stages of disability. This lessens the impact of the disability or aids in coping with developmental delays. This includes cognitive development, behavioural therapy, and other interventions to help them gain skills and independence.

ASANTECARE assists NDIS participants who need a little extra help to live a fulfilling life. We strive to provide high-quality services to people who are differently abled or intellectually challenged. As a registered NDIS provider in Perth, we have a team of experts who are trained in providing NDIS assistance to people of all ages and genders with various disabilities.

The NDIS has established certain qualifying requirements for an individual to be considered for NDIS support services coverage.

Participants must be between the ages of 7 and 65. Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) is used for children under the age of seven. Early Childhood partners who have received training assess the disability to determine the type of intervention required. Early childhood partners assist the child in coping with current delayed development issues and in putting the necessary safeguards in place to avoid further complications. Other state-run welfare programmes can help the elderly over the age of 65 with NDIS requirements.

The NDIS offers three types of plans: core supports, capacity building, and capital supports.

The NDIS will assist you under these plans.

The NDIS can pay for personal care plans, nursing support, travel assistance, accommodation, respite care, and other services.

NDIS providers assist NDIS participants by providing quality support and a variety of useful services. NDIS providers can be non-registered or registered. Registered NDIS providers can access the NDIS fund directly.

Support coordinators work closely with you to identify needs, personalise supports and make sure you are matched with the right services.

Support Coordinators will:

- Identify services that meet your individual needs
- Coordinate service providers and support
- Liaise with government agencies
- Organise the manner and timing of supports, including service agreements and obtain quotes for services
- Source suitable accommodation and respite options
- Link you into work or other community activities
- Coordinate health and medical specialists
- Implement and monitor your NDIS plan or re-develop your goals prior to a plan review
