NDIS Individual Living Options (ILO) in Sydney are living arrangements that focus on the individual and were introduced to the NDIS to give participants more options regarding the supports they receive, so that they have more choice and control over who they live with, where they live, and how their support is provided, allowing participants to live alone, with friends, family, or a host.
The people you live with provide primary supports. They assist you with the daily supports you require in your home. When determining the level of support to be provided by hosts or housemates, a variety of factors such as your circumstances, choices, and home and living goals will be considered.
Participants must be 18 years old or older, receive a minimum of 6 hours of supports per day, and not require registered nursing care as part of their daily supports, according to the ILO.
An ILO is a personalised NDIS support that helps participants come up with flexible living options based on their goals.
