Every element of our SDA homes has been carefully designed to promote comfort and independence. We think that having a home environment that allows people to live with confidence and actually thrive makes a significant impact in day-to-day living.

What is SDA funding?

Financial support towards a home to help people with high support needs or extreme functional impairment live as independently as possible.

There are four types of SDA homes to match different needs.

  • Improved Liveability: Homes with reasonable physical access for people with sensory, intellectual, or cognitive impairments.

  • Fully Accessible: Homes with a high level of physical access, including wheelchair-accessible bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor areas.

  • High Physical Support: Homes with specialised features like ceiling hoists, assistive technologies, and emergency power solutions.

  • Robust: Homes with strong physical access and additional safety features, such as retreat areas and impact-resistant materials.

Who is eligible?

To qualify for SDA funding from the NDIS, participants need to have very high support needs and an extreme functional impairment. It’s important to show that SDA will help achieve NDIS goals, provide opportunities to develop skills, and deliver long-term benefits.
